Lynn Beckwith Women of Vision Express ABWA – Women of Excellence 2010 Lynn Beckwith
Women of Vision Express Network of the American Business Women’s AssociationIt all started with a 1947 International pickup truck that was pulled out of a swamp in Virginia to be rebuilt as a family hobby, complete with critters in the rusted fuel tank. Combine that with the need to repair the old fix-r-uppers she drove in college, Lynn Beckwith embarked on a life long journey in the automotive industry.
After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a BBA in Marketing, Lynn opened Beckwith’s Car Care in 1989 and has been winning awards ever since they opened. In an industry not always noted for its ethics, she has set the bar high with one of hre company’s many awards being the Better Business Bureau Excellence Award in Ethics. In addition Beckwith’s Car Care has also received The Houston 100 Award three years in a row, Top Shop in the NAtion with the ational Excellence Award and the Better Business Bureau’s Excellence Award in Auto Repair.
Lynn has become a respected member of this male dominated industry and co-hosts an automotive call-in-talk radio show on Saturday mornings. Twenty years and a shop full of mechanics later, she works hard to keep up with new technology and the inovations that keep the automotive repair business exciting.
